Preparation
Season by lightly wiping sunflower or vegetable oil on the inside only. Place the empty cooker on top of a hot wood burner for at least 4 hours. This allows the paint to cure and may give off a slight smell in the process.
Cooking
Brush the potatoes lightly with cooking oil, then place them in the cooker. Close the lid and position the cooker on top of the hottest spot on the wood burner. Cooking time takes approximately 3-4 hours, depending on the heat of the wood burner.
Care
Hand wash only with warm water or wipe clean with a damp cloth, avoiding detergents as much as possible. Dry thoroughly on top of the wood burner, then re-season with a little oil.
Compatibility
For use on woodburners, multi fuel stoves and open fires. Boiler stoves and stoves with convection tops are not compatible with the cast iron cookers due to their lower surface temperatures.
